What's wrong with my Zoas?

I think I found the problem! Rechecked my salinity and it was at 1.026. I wasn't aware that over a weeks time it would rise.

I'm curious because this happened to me too and im using vibrant. I can't think of anything else that changed in the tank but that, except for its a lot cleaner. Maybe too clean?

Well just done my 4th dose 4 days ago but.. even my green star polyps haven't opened up in a week.

Let me know if anything changes. I wonder how long for it to leave the system. Curious are you overdosing it?

Calls for 1mL per 10 per week, right? Also, do you have 60gal of water or is it a 60gal tank? You might cut it back to 5mL.

Cut it back to 5mL, 1x a week. You are overdosing currently.

What brand are you using. I'm using vibrance by aqaufuel and it calls for 1 ml for 25 gallons. I have a 55 gallon with a fuge and I just use 2 ml once a week. I found that if my salinity goes above 1.025 everything closes I find salinity the biggest culprit at times. Just my two cents

The difference between 1.025 and 1.026 is not that much at all. Depending on the salt mix, basic Instant Ocean for example, it has to be mixed to 1.026 in order to have you Ca and Mg at proper levels. 1.026 is the standard for a lot of reefers... What's your flow like? Some zoas and most mushrooms don't particularly care for high flow or direct flow. Just something else to consider.

I have a 60 gallon tank with a 1 gallon hob fuge! I thought that @UWC had stated in the Vibrant thread that was the correct dose and to double up and dose 2x a week. Maybe that's the issue! I have 2 1200gph wavemakers for flow.
