What's wrong with the Skimmer - Nyos

Hi My Nyos 120 Skimmer started doing this about a week ago. The water level raised high in the neck to the collection cup but then drops to below the neck a few seconds later. You can see that in the video at about 20 seconds mark. I cleaned the skimmer two nights ago including the pump and it is still doing the same. Is there something wrong with it?

It could possibly be the impeller/or pump, it looks like it’s trying to work and then loosing power so the skim drops back down.

Assuming your not getting any major fast fluctuations in the sump water level which seems unlikely

I have the same skimmer. I think just disassemble and soak in citric acid solution over night

Make sure there is no water in your air line attached to the pump. If there is, remove the tubing from the pump and blow the water out. That happens sometimes if too much water gets in the skimmer section
Making sure the pump is not obstructed by anything, or flow restricted is also worth checking.

I think my Nyos 160 is still skimming, Nyos skimmers are all female and thus temperamental?!
