I recently picked up this tanaka's possum wrasse for a friend of mine and I'm keeping it in my frag tank until he picks it up, but when I came to clean the tank this morning, I noticed it was rather lethargic and had discoloration on it's body, any idea what is wrong with it and how I can treat it? I can restart my fish qt if necessary, as I have a 20 long sitting unused. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated

Also I'm keeping him in a breeder net i had sitting around that I'm keeping a lid on so he can't hop, so he's got his own cozy little space keeping him from getting blown around in the current so I don't think he's scraped himself up

He was eating at the store (I work there) but once I got him home, the only thing I saw him eat was oysterfeast. Unfortunately I went to pick up some groceries from the store and came back 30 minutes later to him dead. I was planning to move him to a qt and prazi him but I guess I took too long.

Sounds like either velvet or a gram negative bacterial infection, as both can kill fast.

Sorry for your loss. :(
