Oh man, that's a good one! I miss the days of looking for hidden gems in the fresh shipments:mad:.
Seems like those days are gone, and we're left with the same 10 or so sticks in every store. Now I'm only looking at what other hobbyists have for my "wish list".

Currently working on a stand for my 265 gallon upgrade. So setting up the new Marineland 265 gallon reef tank is my 2019 wish list. Lol.

I just want to get through the startup uglies! 90 gallon tank cranked up 5 weeks ago. I'm in the diatom/green film stage. Must. Not. Buy .More .Coral. Or. Fish.........

Oh Yea!! Another new R2R'r. Welcome to Reef2Reef!! You guys are going to be Stick Heads in no time hanging out in here!;):)

Off to a good start already...
Picked up two frags on my list - homewrecker and orange passion last week (got both for $325 total which I thought was a good deal lol)

Now I want a stable tank... and an apex!

Nice Score!!! We're going to need Pics of these beauties, pronto!;):) This threads getting a little thin in the cool pic department.

As for the stable tank - Apex is a good start! - How about an Alk monitor? Don't be shy, this is a wish list after all!:D

Mine is my next BIG tank. It is close as I may have found a shipper. If so, i will have a 300g plus system for sale with oak stand and canopy and side cabinet to hide plumbing . Tank is wall and/or peninsula configuration

Hopefully Mr.V doesn't mind me posting his picture/linking his site. There just aren't many pictures of this piece out there. Great local sps keeper here in SoCal.

Get my dream fish successfully through QT:
Lineatus Wrasse
Group of Bartletts anthias
Golden Rhomboid wrasse
Blond Naso Tang
Powder Brown tang

Add T5s to my G3 Pros/Build a floating canopy to cut down on light spillage

Praying Indonesia can find a sustainable way to start exporting corals again.

Yea my wishlist is just for indo do start exporting again, a number of the sites were already doing it sustainably though. I also agree with jda in that the oldie pieces that have become rare as can be will always be on my wishlists for trades but its nearly impossible to find them around here. Thats why I took to keeping wild and mari stuff to find things I have never kept or seen before. But now its hard to find things like that from any of the locations still sending stuff over.

Awsome list! I love that BKChem Wet Dream! Have you seen it in person? And do you know where to get it? Vivid Confetti is also on my list!

Not yet but I know Mr V (site that's linked) and his pictures are very accurate to what you see in person. I'm not sure if he is selling frags yet or not but that is who I hope to buy from as his tank is stellar. Just search him here on R2R. Amazing 45g build and now 100g

Well… I just spent the last hour reading about greed and price gouging in the hobby, and it got me to thinking… What do I really want to spend money on in 2019? I’m talking the ultimate purchase for the year?

I’m sort of tired of hearing about cost vs. value, the real value of things, and blah blah blah. I like dreaming about frivolous purchases!

I want to know what you’re planning on splurging on this year? Or what your reefing dreams are for this year. I originally was thinking of asking what SPS frag you really want? But it could really be anything I guess…

Is it Equipment? A New Tank? Super Ultra SPS? Or maybe new Lighting?

Anything goes – small purchase or large. This doesn’t need to turn into who is the biggest or baddest, or who’s got the most money (although if you do, we’d all like to live vicariously through you, so please share!!).

1 rule though – you must share pictures of your dream purchase, or something that resembles it. Pictures are worth a thousand words, and I want to see em!

I’ll go first… one way or another; in 2019 I’m going to find one of these:
The RR Jaw Dropper.

This beautiful colony was grown by @Russo757 (thank you for permission to use your photo!) One day this will be mine!!!

Ok R2R, your turn. Let’s see those 2019 Wish lists!!

Oh and one more thing – better hide this thread from your significant other!
I want a porcupine puffer, what's really stopping me is the amount of corals I have in my big tank, I have a biocube also I believe is about 10 gallons but unsure how much of space they need to live on, also the stories about crash a tank are enormous and I'm afraid about it. What you guys think?

1) Switching from Radion G4's to a Giesemann Spectra. Almost done with this...

2) Build a frag rack with (2) low boys plumbed together. I should probably buy some marine pure blocks and have them in my display right now, huh?

WOW moving away from the G4 huh? It's so funny how the grass is greener for all of us. ;):D
I have a really nice Hamilton Cebu Sun MH/T5 fixture on my frag tank, and have been thinking about getting the Aquatic life T5 with G4's.
The light manufacturers have to love this phenomenon of constantly wanting to upgrade in search of something better! I love it!

For me, that's a no-go. That fish doesn't fit into the current footprint/goals of my system. But If you love em, and can accept the risks...

Right?! I have nothing against Radion's (except the price). My issue is to get the coverage I need in my 210g I would need to probably pick up 2 more units and have them run vertical.

On the flip side, I can use a tried/true method of MH+T5 for a fraction of the cost... This is all after I decided to switch to an SPS only tank, so I figured this would work.
