What's your dream fish?

With my most recent tank I’ve been lucky enough to get the first two species off the list.

H. claudia
C. shepardi
P. venusta
P. multifaciata (attempted to get a pair and lost 6 specimens 5 years ago)
C. colini
P. ventralis
C. brunneus
C. lunatus

My dream fish I would love to get is a sea goblin to go with my 2 rhinopias fish

Why no pinnatus batfish? They're pretty as juvies.

Yes they are very pretty. But I don't want to buy a fish just to give them away. Too big. Hence it stays as my dream fish. I might get a blue Velvet damsel...but that would be my last fish to add in my 40b

Radiant wrasse and multibar angelfish are my current obtainable dream fish.

Candy bass and Blue Striped Tamarin's are ones I will probably never own.

H. Iridis - Radiant wrasse. I tried for 7 years. Can’t get them locally and the ones I’ve had shipped haven’t lived past 2 days.

I had one of these ordered with an online vender...covid happened so they ended up holding on to it from March to July... it was still eating and doing well... and I was so excited!! They do a peroxide dip before they ship and it jumped out of the dip container and.. well died before they found it. I could have just cried after months of anticipation. I felt so defeated.

Could that possibly be a blue velvet damsel?

A couple other fish on my list is multibar angel and fairy gobies.

Those are called Velvet damsels yes.. young they are ok but once they get older they eat zoanthids. Happened to me and other people online.

I havent really thought of a dream fish. Because if i ever want something. I do get it eventually eveb if it takes time to save for it.

But i would say a fish id really like to have would be a Queen Angel. Unfortunatly i wouldnt want the fish to tear up my reef tank

Definitely a pair of Masked Angelfish for me. They're captive bred these days, but a single fish is over $10,000!

Others I've got goals for:
  • Conspic Angel
  • Quoyi Parrotfish (a healthy one)
  • Rhomboid Wrasse (happily would settle for a Red Margin as they tend to be healthier after collection)
  • Crosshatch Trigger
