Got 2 through 5 week quarantine and they were doing well. When moved to DT both lasted about 3 weeks. They are such slow and deliberate eaters that my other fish would consume all the food while the copperband was still thinking about it. Even made a DYI copperband feeder and had the 2nd one eating out of it in QT but when moved to the display the other fish learned quickly that the copperband would pull food out of that feeder for them. Very frustrating because I love copperbands but if you have aggressive eaters in your tank they’re really hard to get adequate food to them.Whats your experience keeping copperbands?
As long as you qt, they do well. In the qt without competition you can take care of diseases and can get them eating. I have 1 and it eats the most in my tank.
I think it's better to qt. There is no competition and you can observe the fish.Qt on butterflies is extremely stressful and I would not suggest doing so, however I do not qt any livestock.
