What's your favorite black box led?

I started off with a galaxyhydro and it was awesome. I saw Aqua Ocean (I think that's what it was) leds this weekend at MACNA that produced a beautiful shimmer. They seemed cheap but I haven't been able to track them down yet.

I have 4 SB reef lights over my 2 tanks, their lights are ok until you have a problem than their customer service sucks.

Hobbie Bug from Amazon. I would suggest the manual controlled dimmer switch. I've used these for years and they are amazing.

I have 2 165 watt vipraspectra. I got on Amazon ( the one with the remote) they are okay I guess. I wouldn't recommend them. They burn the **** outta my coral if I go above 10% whites.

I used galaxy hydro for several months and it looked great but had slow growth rates even with par tuning switched to t5s for the past month and zoas & palys are growing like weeds even my utter chaos. My 1 head acan sprouted 3 new heads. 1 head blasto now has 3 heads. My duncan of 3 month finally decided to encrust the the plug after switching to t5s it took 1 week to jump the glue 2 weeks later full calcium base on plug. Any sps i fragged took 2 weeks to encrust glue. Love the switch! Running odyssea t5 fixture with ati's cost was $130 same as my wifi blackbox led.

I've got MarsAquas above my tank, in large part because they were the first affordable reef light I encountered. Their blue channel is a bit more "windex" than the deep blues you see at shows, but other than that (and no real sunrise / sunset / moonlight capability) I have no complaints. The first one came in with one diode not emitting - they sent a bag of five diodes, and with the help of someone who knew what he was doing, soldering wasn't a big deal.

Gotta say, some of those SB look pretty good!

I really like my ocean revive arctic t-247b it has a built in timer for both the blue and white channels and comes with remote and two different options for mounting. Very easy to program and plenty of power. I am going to be getting par readings tonight or tomorrow but I only run it at 40% blue and 20% white right now and my corals are loving it.
