I know alot of people like LPS, I'm not much of a fan (always been more into SPS) so I was wondering what type everyone is more partial too, and why! Maybe you can help sway me :)

Very very tough! This has changed for me over the years but for now I have to vote welso.

My tank is LPS and softies only. Although I enjoy the look of a nice sps tank. I prefer LPS one of my favorite about LPS is watching them eat.

My favorite varies from week to week. One day when the budget isn't so tight I've got space in the tank reserved for 3 blasto morphs and a bleeding apple scoly. I shouldn't be able to see rock or sand by then...

That is a hard choice because acans are a lps too and I love them. So I'm cheating on my frogspawn with a lord wellis acan. Lol:gossip:

My new tank was to be mostly an SPS tank, buts is turning into a mixed reef tank. There is a lot of LPS corals on my want to buy list. This is such a large family of different types of corals, shapes & colors, just no way I can't put them into my new tank. Can I make them all get along in the same tank, we will find out. I am going to include one and one only softie into my tank, a Tyree Green Polyp Toadstool, just love this coral. Zoas don't count in the softie coloum, LOL, there will be a few of those also. I won't have a Frogspawn, Hammer or Torch though.

Euphyllia, for sure. Great color, texture, AND movement!

This week Chalices are my favorite, but it changes. I am also a fan of Acans and Lobos.

Acans chalices and torch corals my faves. First 2 for colors and just like appearance. Torch love the movement of long tenticles.

Also if it glows under moonlights and makea my tank look like a dr sues book I probly like it :)

I agree with K2parkstar, I love to watch my Lps devour food! If I had to pick a favorite it would be my micromussa. But I love my favia, acan echinata, blastos and my chalices

I am an lps collector forsure it wasn't till just last weekend that I put my first 2 frags of sps in my tank just because my top scape was too bare. The color movement and the way they intake food is cool to watch

I have a mostly softy tank with mushrooms and leathers. But I help out fragging some favias and now they are my fav. Not sure why prolly cuz it was the 1st coral I have fragged

I have never had one, but I sure do like elegance corals....

For me, Duncans. I know they aren't the most colorful, but something about them does it for me.

The bigger the polyps the better! I love my torch and Scolys were my favorite until I got my green Bubble. I've got a decent LPS variety though...Elegance, Duncans, Torch, Scoly, Frogspawn, Blasto, Lobo, Bubble and various Acan species. I'm trying to collect as many as possible. I'm trying to find a nice Fox coral right now. Oh I forget about Favias!! Not a big Chalice fan.

the wall hammers all the way. i have some chalices but i like watching the hammers sway in the water. same with the torches.

I think my favorites are plates. It's fun to feed them a big chunk of something and watch them swallow it whole. And, you can get brite colors for cheap!

I'm gonna have to go with favias! I used to be acan crazy with about 40 different color morphs, but I can't keep them happy in my current tank so my taste has changed a bit. :squigglemouth:

Only 1 year in the hobby, but I love my branching duncans, acans and meat coral. I see myself really becoming an acan nut...

Least favorite would be my chalice... I got a trial chalice and had horrible luck with it....

Im still learning though!
