What's your favorite site to order corals?

corey.nolta · Nov 12, 2015

I'm looking to place a fairly large order for corals. I've been saving to start bulking out my tank. What's a legit website for corals? I'd like one that doesn't have an obnoxiously large "free shipping minimum". I saw one that was almost $400 to qualify! That's nuts IMO.
Around the $200 mark would be good.
What's your favorite site?!
Thanks

What kind of corals are you looking for?

corey.nolta · Nov 12, 2015

A variety. Sps, Lps, Softies. Little of everything!

Check out all the sponsors here and find what you like. I'm an sps guy, so check out Battlecorals and Reef Pets. Another already mentioned above.

Take your pick

Or try you lfs . sometimes driving the half hour to forty five minutes saves me shipping and my corals don't get the stress of shipping.

I've only ordered from aqua SD and unique corals, and was very pleased with both vendors. I have also gotten good deals in the for sale section from other hobbyists. And unfortunately for me, the closest lfs with good corals is an hour and 10 minutes away with 8 dollars in tolls added to the gas, so shipping is always cheaper than driving lol.

I like whichever site or person that has what I'm looking for at a given time. I order a ton online. Obviously you get a much better bang for the buck ordering from fellow reefers but you also gotta be careful and know what your getting. My latest and best deals were from frags auction place, and fellow reefers from here. Legendary corals has a great site, I've been very tempted but have not ordered from them only because each time I intend to, my cart ends up more than I can pay for and I can't pick anything to remove. So I get frustrated and give up. Lol.

I've yet to order any coral on line. But Adam at @Battlecorals is too legit to quit with battle packs and customer service.

Cherry Corals is my go-to

Anthony Wood · Nov 13, 2015

TheSaltCreep corals has some fire. Ive ordered from a couple times from him and will be making more order from him in the future. Got my walt disney tenius from him. I was worried spending so much money to have it shipped but I opened the box and it was already throwing polyp like it had never even been shipped. World Wide Corals is also another very good site.

Will be following this thread. I've ordered corals from various places like rarereef with good results. Always looking for more! My lfs that sells corals is 3+ hours away.
