Pelicier's Perchlet
Johnson's Fairy Wrasse
Magma (Cherry) Fairy Wrasse

Coral runner ups...

RRC Pink Cadillac frag
RRC Orange Passion frag
Pink and yellow Cynarina

I'm just seeing the general consensus on what the most people pay is. Many LFS's say that customers don't want to spend more than roughly $20-$50 for livestock, so that's why they carry the same old selection that sells quick, and isn't a big loss if it dies.

So what's the most expensive guy in your tank? Mine is a 7" Magnificent Foxface that sells for $189 at the online place I bought it. I actually paid for a smaller one for $140, but received the bigger, more expensive one. Also a Harlequin Tuskfish for $120.

I paid that amount because I had been looking for a Magnificent Foxface for almost a year locally with no results. Of couse a month after I got the fish, my local store had the size I wanted for $60, lol.

If you ever come to Denver you need to check out Stone Aquatics my store with ICP-Analysis running in house. I have around 1200 fish in stock right now. While it is true that people said I couldn’t sell fish over $200 I have found that if you stock it people will come.

I don't really have a limit, if I like it. I'll spend $200 on a frag, and have several of those. $300 on a fish. Purple tang, Achilles, whatever. I hate to break it but I think I spent $50 on my magnificent fox face lol. But some spend thousands on art. To me it makes more sense to spend that on something living. Although there are always exceptions, when I make a large purchase it's planned, and I can assume whatever it is will be around for many years.

I haven't seen a lot of ribbon eels lately. In the 90's they were everywhere. Same with Snowflake eels. I used to see a few at every fish store (even the chain stores). Now I may see one every so often. I guess with more people keeping open top tanks, eels just don't work.

I agree I just found a 3ft beautiful Ribbon eel at my LFS. They had it for 3 weeks and was told it was nibbling at food. I just set up a swim tank and moved my Moorish Idol that developed a taste for corals and thought his would be a great companion. He ate Rosie’s off a stick the first night and now have him eating LRS and shrimp off the stick. Not very expensive paid $79 but I know their price go way up once they change colors. I was planning and open top tank but that changed with this guy so the lid is in and tighten.
