Whats your most underrated fish?

I absolutely love my magnificent foxface. One of my favorites.

I like my yellow "coris" wrasse (canary wrasse)

I'm a real big fan of those Atlantic Blue Tangs myself. It's not the best picture, but you get the idea.

Yup I have had a few. I just sold mine to make room for a chevron but they're very underrated

My Mocha Clowns are still my favorite; actually any clown is still a favorite. This is an old pic. As they aged they only retained orange on their faces.

Yup I saw that in another of your videos. My lfs had one for years in their 250 display tank (until the power died over holiday weekend) and it was large and never changed, too.

When I was snorkeling on the reef during my honeymoon in Cozumel, I saw lots of these and they vary in colors A LOT. Some were large and yellow, some were medium and blue with yellow accents, some light blue, some deep blue almost people, some almost black (as they approach a very large specimen) and even some tony 1" specimens were already blue. I have never seen such variety in tang color distributions in my life.

It kept fooling me in to thinking there were more than one species until closer observation!

Underrated?

My One Spot Foxface is overlooked by many people that view my tank, but I know the true value of having this fish in my tank.
This fish devours bubble algae, hair algae and even bryopsis. I can place frags and pieces of rock that are afflicted with algae and the foxface will have the rock picked clean in a matter of hours. My sump will grow algae over time, but my display is spotless!

Underrated, but not undervalued.

I'm going to vote for a couple of a speices that are nomally considered not reef safe or "with caution". So, I think the Pyarmid Butterfly, and the Genicanthus species of Angels (watanabei, bellus and lamark)don't get the love they deserve, and are reef safe fish.

I don't have one, but Lubbocks wrasses are so underrated. They're real cheap and real pretty!

The most underrated fish I have though, I think is blue-green chromis. I dunno why, but I love their simple but beautiful light blue color with their behavior. I have two in my 180 and two in my 60. I won't get anymore though because the "pairs" are quite happy as just two. The ones in my 180 are fully mature and actually larger than most of my lyre tail anthias.

Naso my favourite fish in the tank!

I love my blonde naso - but at one point they were very highly regarded and prized in this hobby. Anymore, Naso and Blonde Naso don't really seem to be all that desired. I am not sure why, they're very cool. I had a GIANT naso that i acquired with a tank purchase that died of old age (he was 12 when I got him and the stress of the move killed him in one month, unfortunately). I have to say though, that a giant, male Naso tang is every bit as beautiful as a Blonde Naso...
