so what's your nano stand on?

looking for creative, strong, good looking stand for a 24x 14 nano peninsula by the couch.
been looking for a few hours feels like I am missing something.

any ideas?

It comes in three colors. You do want to add a center support to give extra strength.

i'll take a look. thanks

on a side note. I am waiting for someone to say the floor. just read my thread title...LOL oh dear. but you all get the point :D

The back is just plain white. It’s really meant to go against a wall. However Ikea has allot of other items that might work better for you.

my 20gal nano, is on a habitat for humanity kitchen floor cabinet with a plywood top and painted

I was just there looking for the same thing but they were just garbage :( but that is where i did score my bed side table for $20 was going to use that as the stand and still might but I hope to find an enclosed cabinet for the ATO res.

keep looking and keep going back they always have new items coming in

I use an IKEA Kallax for my 20g long observation tank.

I built a 2x4 stand and finished it with pallet wood! Pretty easy to do! You could mod yours to be peninsula!

while my next tank I'm plannign with a waterbox, I've been tossing around ideas of using vinyl wrap, or specifics woods/ items to add to the stand it comes with.

You can always find scratch and dent solid wood end tables for cheap at a furniture store, that’s what we did and it was cheaper than buying the biocube stand

thanks every one I have a few ideas now. found a nice end table or might use the quick frame stuff. 20 gal aquarium if just big enough to make me pause what I but it on.

Working on building a stand for my 24 gal cube in between working, dang work always gets in the way of fun stuff. Simple 2x6 and 2x4 frame then will skin it and add door to the front. I over built it especially on the base as I was afraid Of it getting top heavy when the ato reservoir gets low. I have a 8 year old and despite telling her not to run in the house she does it anyways lol.

I robbed the top off the old stand so I didn’t have to cut a radius lol.

Be careful of particleboard for long term. Water splashes and it doesn’t hold up to it

Happy reefing

that looks fantastic! good idea on stealling the top, thoses cuts can be tricky if you dont have all the tools and a nice place to work. like me ..haha

yeah yeah it;s over build but good idea with the little one running in the house. better safe than sorry.

My hubby built this stand for my new 29g. I am in love with it.

your hubby did very good job . I was 1st going to do something like with the black hardware with 4x4 thought it would look rustic and what not. but we decided it needs to be closed in for the ATO res. no buckets besides the tank and it needed to some what match the red sea 750...

Yeah won't be able to hide much , but planning on keeping this one simple. Will try to get a cool container for the ATO. Makes it harder to try to get it to coordinate with the red Sea.

OK I have an idea for the stand after more hours than I care to admit spending on the planning stages of the nano. I finally have the stand idea down. I am gonna do a DIY build. just need to work out a few small details. to make it looks sleek and clean.

I think and hope it's gonna come out amaing
