What's your passion / Pick your poison

So, I frequent R2R every day and something dawned on me. With nearly 16k members, I was wondering what in your tank are you TRUELY passionate about. Are you a stick head, zoa freak, fish fiend, or maybe a techno geek, whatever. I know many of us keep all of these, but which one do you spend the most time, money, and have the most interest in.

So, are you in the masses, or are you the creepy guy in the corner of the party that just doesn't understand what the latest craze is about :tongue:?

Feel free if you have a specific addiction to something (chalice, deepwater acros, brown protopalys) please share and maybe you'll make a new friend who didn't know that anyone else loved brown protopalys.

I'm a Tang nut w/ a begginer SPS love. I would own each tang if the my tank room, $$$, and wife would allow. I just started this year on my sps adventure. Everything seems fine and with a Tang stocking list about to be completed, my new love of SPS is about to take fifth gear. If I can ever get my first chalice and get into clams, oh the wallet is gonna be lite! R2R burns my Evo's battery life up each day because I can't get enough. Sorry for rambling....

I'm just an all-around reef nut! Couldn't decided on a Vote yet, too many good choices. :tongue:

Definitely LPS (mainly acans) for me! I do enjoy a couple sticks here and there they just don't grab my eye like the LPS do.

Acros for me. Nothing is more rewarding than being able to color up and grow a difficult to keep acro. The stable parameters / husbandry that are necessary to keep a healthy SPS reef thriving make it a daily challenge - and very gratifying.

Fish for me...used to be acros, but I've had a change in heart. Love the personality, colors, and interactions between them all.

Sps of all kinds I love them so many different sp. Colors growth patterns and easy to frag and propagate if ur able to grow out a lg tank with sps u can frag like crazy

wrasses!!!! i guess you can say im a wasse man, i did start on sps but havent had much success in keeping them except for a couple of montis and a red planet frag that is just starting to color up

I like the tech, I just got covered in insulation in 100 degree heat just to run an ethernet cable through my attic for the apex. I also like all corals, sticks, acans, favias, softies, zoo's, nps, I keep them all.

Zoas are the only coral that interests me. My passion is my Fish. I love my fish (according to my fiancee more than her LOL) I got into this hobby because it was something my mom and I discussed doing and she passed away, I started looking around at corals and found Purple Hornets and the Swissguard Basslet. First two things in my tank and are the show pieces two years later haha.

I love acros! And as far as LPS, mostly chalices and acans! But I keep pretty much everything, except NPS and Nems..

Can we pick 2?...lol..... I've gone from lps, to sps and recently zoa's, but I'd have to go with sps bc it's the most challenging therefore the most rewarding when successful, the opposite is completely true also!

Really I am more into the biology side of the hobby. I have been in this hobby way to long and have seen way to many people pass through short term. I mainly buy what I like and what works with what I am trying to do.

I am not into collector corals. I have seen way too many fads and seen corals going for like 500 a polyp to in a few years nobody wants the coral. People who also are into them always seem like short timers because eventually something goes wrong and they loose allot of money and get disgusted and are out of the hobby. Plus most corals usually end up looking different in different tanks anyway.

If I had to pick a favorite coral it would be goniopora because of the challenge to keep them.
