Im a newbie and started out on a budget. I tinkered with used lighting until I got an AI Hydra 26. That was by far the best thing I gave my tank. It was the most expensive as well, but it also taught me where I need to spend my money.
My worst was a small powerhead that exploaded when I was using it in a 33g long pest tank. Total loss of livestock and equipment from chemicals leaching from the pump.

Would also definitely say my ATI fixture was the one of the best and worst would be everything I purchased in my first year in the hobby lol. Alot of wasted money
