We all have had that one coral that looks the same after a year in the tank while others grow like wild fire. Should be fun/educational to list your slowest growers on this thread so that others can confirm if your newest frag is a known slow grower.

For me it's WWCs Kobe Bean acro. Bought it on a live sale about 6 months ago with other sticks. In that 6 months it has encrusted by maybe a 1/16" max on the plug. While all my other sticks have fully encrusted the plug in that 6 months.

Probably my frogspawn to be honest. Had it 6 months and is the same 2 headed frogspawn I started with

edit: Nope it's my trumpet coral actually lol. Forgot it's even a coral since it hasn't changed in 2 years lol

Are we talking corals in general or acros only?

CC Bahamam Mama ... never grew and then started to STN and the two tiny nubs I was able to save have been pretty much dormant ...

For it is MattV Optimus Prime

I had a red planet frag that only encrusted a small bit at the base over the course of an entire year (while 5 different acros were growing steady). Now a year later it’s suddenly thrown out 6 branches. I have a hammer that has stayed the same two heads over the course of two years, while at the same time my other hammers, torches, and frogspawns have gone from 2 heads to 20+. Don’t understand it sometimes

Odd, my Bahama Mama is going crazy and I haven't had it but about 3 months.
I do have another Mille that is growing painfully slow for me but I know others that have the same Mille and it grows like crazy for them.

Freakin JF Red Hot Setosa... I don’t understand!!! Exactly the same as when I bought it almost a year ago... any tips?

Generally speaking, your most expensive coral... or the one that you are the most excited about.

Boogers, no matter the kind. Once they get growing and past the inch size, most stuff grows well for me. I once did have a Wet Thumbs Tierra Del Fuego that I got from Tina herself that did nothing for years... then it took off and grew into a dinner plate a few times.

Most Acro’s seem to be stubborn until they lay down a good base and getting the right amount of quality light. I hate to say it, but for me it’s been mostly about stability across the board and once that is achieved consistently then most corals will start to take off.

I’d have to say the Oregon Blue Tort is slower than most I’ve kept. Some Millie’s really tick me off too.

Two frags of WWC After Party placed on different areas of the tank haven’t shown any signs for growth and PE for almost a year!
any recommendation !? thanks.

I have a few contestants but for the sake of argument i'll go with my wolverine.
Bought in 2018 from a fellow hobbyist along with 7 or so other frags...
Maybe doubled since, in that time my "lady in pink" from the same person became a nice colony and i made over 20 frags from it just this year.
