Whats your stray voltage?

If you have metal water pipes conmecting the meter to it should serve the same purpose.

My volts are 20v

I know people get tired of me preaching the value of grounding probes, but I want to give you guys something to think about.

Induced voltages in a tank are relatively harmless to people. There isn't enough power available to maintain enough current to hurt us. In our situation we have a lower resistance than the air we live in.
Fish have a higher resistance than the saltwater they live in. The means they are subjected to eddy current in the water across the surface of their skin. This irritation is present with both induced voltages and fault voltages.

So even if you don't want to use a ground probe for your and your families safety, you may want to consider it for the health of your fish.

The way I understand it is amperage kills, not voltage with no amps, and thats what our tanks got pretty much low amp high volts. Right?

That is correct. It is current that kills people. That is why a static shock at 10,000+ volts just snaps but won't kill you.
For fish, it works different since currents will tend to flow around them instead of through them.

I run a grounding probe without it i only run 5.4v with it i run about .01v.
