I'd like to know what everyone is collecting for their tanks... do you collect a few different corals with multiple morphs or do you collect everything?

personally, my tank consists of mixed corals from SPS, LPS, and softies... but most of my collection consists of zoas and palys and Aussie lords... :)

don't forget the ultra grade AAA super uber rare tyree special edition DDB's... ;)

kidding aside, what's your real passion that got you into keeping a reef tank? and why?

I'll answer first I guess.... I've always like the endless morphs of zoas and palys... they are pretty hardy once you get the hang of it... as for the Aussie lords, just plain sick Rainbows, esp if you can keep the colors... sooner or later, I'll dedicate a tank specially catered to Aussie Rainbow... I know where to get a few Rainbow morphs in the future... (ahem, Junior!!!) I'm also getting a few FL rics to enhance my Orange, Red/Pink, and Yellow colors... :)

I've always liked to challenge of SPS. It keeps me on my reefing toes. I also have some LPS mixed in, but it's just lords and chalices. :) I wanted my reef to be simple and elegant.

i really like shrooms all kinds: hairy, spotted, rics, big , small, striped, every color, shape,size,,,,whatever...just love 'em....it started as a fluke...one came on the side of live rock i got ..never really paid much thought to them before,,the thing grew so fast and made more and the every one was different...it's like a gift....one day its this big.. then the next it's ,,,,,,,,,,and so on....well as you can see i get abit caught up in them

the fish to be honest i LOVE the colors and the way they look. Corals is just a perk to me :)

Im going for the most colorful reef I can. I love the way things look. I was one of those little kids that would check around in the bushes for lizards and stuff, so I love having fish

Theme for my 20g long:
SPS Dominant Top sections (Been focusing on this element for awhile)
10 of my favorite zoa's/paly's (Need to fill this out)
Ricordea Yuma, Florida, and lots of shrooms species for splashes of color throughout the tank. (Looking for yuma's and weird shrooms right now)
Some LPS mixed in to keep variety (Looking for acans, micros, favias now)

Since its a nano, more corals and less fish. I need to find a mate for my black clown and a bluespot jawfish.

My new tank doesn't really have a theme but I'm working on it. My favorite corals are acros. So when my tank is fully stocked it will be mostly acros with a few acans, a few favias and a few zoas/palys.

Zoas and Palys!!!! my favorite corals. I like a few other kinds of corals but I think nothing quite compares to a tank covered in zoas and palys.

well i would say lps is my favorite so far particularly blasto wellsi. i have a couple diff. and i LOVE them. my other favorite would be zoos/palys i have lots of diff. colors and types and love how many diff. types of them there are.
a few mths ago i got my first sps pieces and so far i am enjoying them.
i dont really care for muchrooms, they are just a pain to me. hard to get them to stick down to anything and all mushy. i have one small rock of blue ones but that will be it for me.

I collect a variety of corals. Some SPS like acros, birdnests, and Pocilloporas, LPS like Blasto wellsi and any species of Acan, and colorful softies like purple colts, green toadstools, etc.

Just starting out. Eventually I would like to have SPS top Euphylia belt with chalice bottom.

I set up my new tank for my picasso's and LPS only. Right now its a mix of zoas, chalice, yumas, and acans/micros. That's all i really want to go in there.

The theme of my tank is affordable, haha. I don't htink I have enough money to "theme" my tank. I just pick out something hardy and if it looks nice. The only corals I have is a small patch of zoanthids and lots of xenia. Nothing fancy or stunning but it's survived through a lot so far. Same with my clowns, though those are awesome and look stunning.
