Tank is about a month old, have a weird situation going on or I’m just overthinking.

First, I just bought 3! Nass snails from a LFS, out of nowhere, a 4th has also appeared in my tank that I’ve never seen? And along with it, what looks like a baby Nass/whelk snail. It’s tiny, probably a couple centimeters. Tried getting pics but they’re bad

Ive seen people say whelks have tattoo trunks, and that seems like what these have, and now that I’m looking, the ones I bought also have black spots on their trunk. Can anyone confirm what these are?

I’ll add that two of my blue leg hermits I got a week ago are now also missing.

That is definitely a nassarius snail. A few reasons for this is the shell is light. A whelk will have a dark shell. A whelk would also have kind of like a cheetah pattern on it. I don't see that either although I could be missing it from lack of clarity.

Oh wow I'm sorry just noticed picture on my phone vs uploaded on here is extremely different, but ok, so if they have black splotches on the trunk, that's not a worry? It's if they have a distinct pattern

The very tiny snail worries me too, idk where that came from. It's like tonight everything decided to pop out, I just seen bristleworms for the first time in my tank, what I think is also spaghetti worms, these mystery 4th nass and baby snail.

Let the games begin!

Yeah looking at it at night is almost an entirely different dynamic! I’d say if it is not pretty consistent all the way up and down the trunk then you are good. If it is just a black splotch in one area then it should be fine. Never hurts though to take it to the lfs and switch it out though if you want to be extra cautious.
