Whelk or not to whelk

I'm on a roll the week with critters could someone tell me if this is a whelk it's a lot bigger then my other snails

Not a whelk. Large nassarius snail.

Easiest way to tell is the difference in the tail. The whelk is rounded and close to the body. The nassarius is longer and pointed.

Nassarius, I have one that looks exactly like it. It came as a Tongan Nassarius, but looks different than my others. It's about 5 times the size of my Nassarius Vibex.
