Hey everyone, I got these snails a few days ago. They have been behaving differently compared the all white nassarius in the tank. They are not very active when compared to the super Tonga nassarius, I have only seen one surface during feeding time.

Could these possibly be whelks instead of nassarius snails? I am leaning towards whelks based on what I have found on the internet.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Best way to tell the difference is on their actual foot. Whelks have a very straight forward pattern while nass only have splotches.
Agree with the others for this one :)
Ps. As someone who has had both species (Tongan are white, vibex is what you have) the only difference I’ve seen between them is that Tongan are the more voracious eaters. Come out at each feeding.
