As the title states.
What does everyone do when the 3155 will not keep up?

I have a 240G system and my Tunze 3155 seems to always time out before it adds enough water, So it goes into error and shuts down. So my salinity is slowly creeping up, I have been quite busy and forgot to reset it and my salinity was at 1.029.

I figured I would get a bigger 120V pump and a 24V relay to control it?

What do you experts think?

Did you try increasing the power to the pump by opening the controller and adjusting the dial?

NO! :(
Dumb me I forgot this could be done. I will try that.
Well its not the pump power but the run time before cut off is it not???
I don't know I will find and read my instructions.
Thx.

Yes, found my instructions and will open it up and see.
They do make an accessory outlet as well for my idea.
Just dont know if tis 110V looks like its a 220 European version.

The osmolator pump I believe from when I set my system up, is only rated to around 1000 litres (219g) even on maximum power so what you need is one of these

You connect the control box into this, and then you attach a more powerful pump into your RO container. I use a Eheim Compacton 2100 on my large system.

So basically it enables the Tunze to pump a much greater amount of water during the ATO process If needed.

Yup, problem is that switched outlet is a European model, not for the US.

I’m not an electrician on the voltage difference (your much lower than us anyway) but can’t you just get an adapter ?

Im in the UK so also need to use a UK/EU plug adapter, 2 pin europe to 3 pin UK

I am sure I can.
If not I can make one, as I am an Electrical Contractor.
Thanks for the advice.

Tunze switched socket. Yes it looks to be setup for European plugs, but works fine for US residents too. The US adapter comes in the box, and the end you plug the pump into is universal.

If you want, you can always wire a relay up to your 3155 and run your pump off of that. I currently am running an aqualifter off my 3155, but you can wire any pump you want in. I can take a picture of you want, but if you're an electrical contractor, it should be child's play.

Yes it would be a simple thing to do.
I for the most part I wondered what others did in this very situation.

I found the switched outlet solution they have for sale.
I can make a better relay set up for cheaper.
