After seeing freshwater planted tanks and all the scaping that goes on and also seeing and loving pictures of the natural looking sandbars, I thought I would change the game a bit and incorporate it into Saltwater and give my tank more depth and also make it easier on syponing out crap that settles in certain parts of my tank. Mission accomplished. What do you guys think?

How are you keeping the sand where you want it? Or more like a zen garden, rake and shift as the mood suits you lol
 
I am running 2 vortech mp 40wes and they actually do not disturb the sand.
 
made some changes on the left side island so i'll take a fts and post.
 
Looks great! You could line the sand with small liverock to help keep the sand in place if you have problems with it shifting.
 
I like it, but I can't imagine how it would stay like that. My sand dunes are different every day.
