Assuming tank is cycled, you can add anytime.

Start it like u would normally set up a system but could jump start it w some live rock and bottled bac. And let it go. Pods would help as it goes through the uglies. But I used live rock in all mine so…

Same as previous poster. Wait until the tank is cycled prior to adding.

I started my first dry rock barebottom system last February using fritz 900 and a small container of seeded rock rubble from another system. I added coral before anything else was added including fish.

Doesn’t really matter if the tank is cycled but I would wait until after ugly phase so algae, dinos, cyano, whatever is not killing your coral.
