When Coraline Algae Starts to Grow?

@90's reefer I did add a small piece of live rock and its not even receive direct light and it has Coraline. I did not notice that before.

I will find more live rocks to add and lets see the improvement.

I will also order the vibrant. Thank you for the recommendation!

I don't know the clownfish type. I got it for free from a friend. Ugly stage sucks!!!

Mt tank is 1 yr. this month and I have yet to see any coraline grow but having had it yrs. ago in a FOWLR and how it took over I'm not concerned about it. It will come in time I'm sure.

OP, you said you were going to dose Nitrate, but on your later post you said parameters are the same which mean Nitrate still 0.

I read that many corals need Nitrate to grow and add colour

@Reefrats if you used dry rock it will start anytime soon and will last up to a year.

I'm around the 10-month mark and the Coraline growth I'm seeing is just way less than expected. Tried to rush it but it didn't work. Few spots in overflow and here and there.

@Poseidon's snail i don't have experience with vibrant. But what has helped me with green and red cyano is prodibio biodigest bacteria.

@canadianeh i tried dosing po4 and no3 and after a few months I realized that it is a waste of money and time trying to dose at early stage before having a bacterial stable tank. You will have a lot of nutrient spikes that will kill your coral. Just leave it at it is for at least a year and after that, if nutrients still super low, add more fish, if still low then dose no3 and po4.

Yes that what I was going to mention. Increase your feeding and bio load instead of dosing no3 and po4.
