When did frags become microscopic?

I've (all of us?) been noticing that people are sellingg "half" sized frags for crazy money? When did this all start?

I actually refuse to buy unless it is a good size frag. As a reefer if we all did this these ridiculously small sized frag would stop. It is because people buy them without thinking of the consequences.

Almost at the exact time individuals realized they could get people to buy half sized frags for crazy money.

I'm with you. I will not buy and half sized frags of anything.

Even worse sometimes it is called a mini colony and it is one or two inches. Sorry but that is barley a frag let alone a mini colony. lol

Yeh I agree too, you need a microscope nowadays to see the frags people are selling. Most sellers need to take x50 zoomed in pics just to be able to see the coral.

It seemed pretty easy. I used the good ole paint program, drew it myself, saved and just uploaded it. lol... I'm not very tech savvy either.

I personally love it. Nothing better than buying a tiny frag and watching it grow into a colony (if you pay a fraction of the price.) Then in a few months I have an awesome colony at a nice savings. I guess I am responsible for the tiny frag fad LOL. Also disclaimer everything looks bigger in a nano tank.

I also have a hard time buying a tiny frag of some corals others it's not as risky if price is right. But it's normal to see over priced tiny frags sadly today.
