When do you switch yours out? My last batch of water was TDS of 1.

I have 2 in a series with a tds gauge between them. When then first cartridge show 1, I repack it and stick the 2 cartridge in slot 1 and the freshly packed cartridge into slot 2. With your single cartridge, your procedure looks good.

I replace my DI cartridge as soon as I get a 1 TDS out reading. I've found in the past that once you get 1 TDS, it starts rising rather quickly.

I'd replace it as soon as it is nonzero. 1 ppm TDS water can have more ammonia in it than the incoming tap water.

Exactly. Triton runs two DI stages. They use the first stage as a “Guard DI” with an inline dual TDS meter between the 2 DI stages with a probe located before and after the Guard DI to let them know when the first DI stage needs replacing. The old guard then becomes the first stage and a fresh guard is put in place.

Honestly, probably the smartest way to do it.
