When do you scrub the glass?

I'm asking because running the magnets is less than soothing on the system, it is only 75gal.
I'm thinking when its lights out, it doesn't matter, feeding time or I'm doing it wrong?

Mr.clean erasers. Only the original are tank safe. Also, ADA makes amazing scrapers, and algea brushes for tanks, but they are ridiculously priced.

* although in salt water I suppose the cost is reasonable since most things are ridiculously priced!
