When does a FOWLR become a Reef?

This is my build thread https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/240gal-fowlr-to-reef-transformation-build.345343/ There are many like it, but this one is mine. I will be adding my first corals in the not so distant future, but I wondered today when does it really become a reef tank?

Simple question, or is it? Is it a reef when you have fish and inverts? Does it take coral to become a reef? If it takes coral do hitchikers count, or only the coral you add?

When you add corals imo.

I would say it becomes a reef when it is growing reef building corals.
