When everything's going right something goes wrong!

Came home from work today and found that my 65g tank was at a 30% percent lean...The stand had finally given out in the back..Thank goodness the wall braced the tank..My girlfriend sitting on the couch watching a DVRed episode of Honey BooBoo..said nothing..When I asked when did this happened and why didn't she call to tell me a near disaster was about to happen, she simply said "Oh..I though the tank looked weird..."?.?..
So after several phone calls to every store in the tri-state area I finally found a stand..I asked her to go pick it up since she has the SUV and I have a sports car..Well here we are 2 hours later and she has yet to show up..I just called her and she stated she has the stand, but she stopped at Best Buy to shop for printers?...?..

wow, that def sucks! i had an issue with my sump flooding once when my elec went out due to weather and now anytime i lay down in bed i have to get up and check 3-4 times before i feel safe to fall asleep and this happened a year ago still haunts me =( does she realize that if the stand breaks its thousands down the drain plus the damage to the floor def time to talk to her about stuff pretty sure my 4 year old neice would know more than the tank looked funny sorry to hear your badluck hopefully everything works out

Thanks guys...well it took about three hrs to get everything switched over...but it stirred up the sand bed..that sucks..and some of my bonsai rock work got brok in the process....

luckily the tank didn't crack when i lean against the wall, but I would be somewhat uneasy with that tank from this point on cuz it might leak later down the road. As for the girlfriend situation, did she ever mention or complaint about you spending too much time on the tank and not her?? Maybe deep down she is jealous of the tank and pray everyday for it to crash lol. Well, at least she was willing to help u pick up the new stand, I know if that was my girlfriend, she wouldv't tell me to go rent a uhaul and get it myself lol. (yeah she hates my fish hobby).

Don't get me wrong when I say this because the Reef Club I belong to has a lot of Women in it. But most women are oblivious to anything that has to do with a Reef Aquarium, so don't trade her in yet :smile:
