Ok,another noob question...
I picked up a few SPS frags a while back and i have read and was told that SPS frags can be sensitive to too much light and flow right of way when putting them in a new system. So i have them in a lower part of my tank on a frag rack.
With that said...
When would be a good time to start moving them to stronger lighting and higher flow?
Should i be looking for polyp extension, coloration of the frag to tell me when would be a good time to do so?

I feel uneasy to be moving them constantly around the tank until i find the spot that they like because of the constant changes ill be putting them thru while doing so...or is that the risk i have to take when dealing with SPS frags.

Right now (knock on wood) they are doing ok where they at for the most part But im trying to be as successful as possible with this batch of frags.

Thank you for the help.

If you can, I suggest renting a par meter and mapping out your tank. That will give you the information you need on coral placement. Here's a vid to get you started. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

If you don’t have particularly high par, you probably don’t have to worry about it much.

I have tested my tank before i i have spots that can reach over 300 par easy with the light set up i have.
My question is more in the realm of how long do i acclimate sps for and what should i be looking for .
If tha makes sense.
