After reading about pipefish and seahorse care online, it is commonly mentioned that there can possible be tanks 'too big'. This isn't really because the tank is too big, but because the density of small prey items introduced would be too small for the fish to feed, correct? Also, if I was just your average person who fed an average amount, what do you think the largest size tank I can feasibly keep is?

im assuming your talking about keeping pipefish and seahorses in said tank.
How many do you want to keep?
Whats your budget?
You can spot feed seahorses not sure about pipefish so I wouldn't think its due to food
