Hi all

Those of you who test your gfo reactor to check if your gfo is depleted, do you wait for your gfo reactor output to hit a certain value before changing?

My po4 has crept up and my current tank reading is 0.06ppm but my reactor output is reading 0.03, would you say this gfo needs changing or not?

How much will your reactor typically remove in one pass? 50%, 80%, 100%?

Great questions, I need to know also.

So i replace it when phosphates hit 0.10-0.12. When i do replace, Po4 typically has a sharp drop to around 0.03-0.04 and goes up to 0.06 in a day or 2. Then i just monitor until it hits 0.1-0.12 again. Takes usually 4-6 weeks for me.
