Hello all. just wondering at about what point is it dangerous to use flatworm exit? is it only when they're extremely obnoxious and covering everything? I've got some planaria that hang out by the sand.

For every one you see there are ten that you don’t see. Run carbon and do massive water changes. Try to siphon as many out as you can. Be careful - I lost a tank once I applied FWE and the toxins took over.

when you don't have saltwater mixed and ready to go. lol

Perhaps a blue velvet nudibranch? i realize they only eat flatworms, and would donate it to my LFS after a week or so.
I would like to stay away from chemicals if possible.

In my opinion, on a running reef tank ...... never.

Never use FWE or the nudibranch?

Sorry, was answering the thread title ..... can see how that might have been unclear. In my defense, a lot of posts to go through .....

No worries at all! I appreciate the comment!

The danger of using it is the toxin they release kills enchinoderms. If you don't have any you have relatively little to worry about. I'd still try and siphon out as many as possible before and during treatment though.
