When is it time to change?

a perfect article as I'm also going through this debate at the moment. Ultimately, I think it comes down to devoting the time and effort, do you care enough about it --> then do it, and do it right. If you can't or won't pay for someone else do to it, then maybe it's time to take a break, or downsize. But i'll tell you what, when you downsize you're likely going to want to have that old big reef back... you shouldn't expect a pristine reef, or a problem-less reef unless you're doing scheduled maintenance, checking levels, and watching your reef (it's noteworthy that some of this takes experience, unless as noted you spend the dough on a controller or other fancy things).

Thank you for the article and thoughts.

I'm thinking about changing to a Poison Dart Frog vivarium, instead of my reef, at the moment... but i'll do my big water change this weekend and will probably be right back in the swing of things. 130x18x20, 200g

Cheers!

I had this issue. Bought emerald crabs, margarita snails, foxface rabbit and yellow eye tang. Algae all gone !!
Is there anything that will eat the algae off the live rock?
