When it rains it pours!!

So after my mishap with the ATO sticking in the on position and dumping 4 gal. of kalkwasser in my AIO my 40 gallon spring a leak!!! I am so frustrated. This tank was going fine and all of a sudden I hear my alarm going off in my basement thinking it’s just my ATO acting up and there is water all over. Had to take everything out and stuff into my AIO. All rock was put in a garbage can and sand in a bucket. I now need another tank that I have to drill and set up. I was so happy with my rock work and I know that’s going to be hard to recreate. This is so frustrating!!!! I can’t win. All of my coral must really be stressed out they keep moving back and forth. Not to mention I had to find all of my snails and rehome them. UGH!!!

Just know that you are not alone. These things happen and have happened to all of us to one degree or another. Dig deep and find your inner strength grasshopper.

Sorry for the troubles. If you can financially swing it, maybe you can look at this as a chance to go bigger?

Just trying to find that sometimes elusive silver lining.

Sorry to hear this. The bright side is you get to buy a new tank (bigger??).

On the rock work. Take the opportunity to try something new maybe? It’s very difficult to recreate, you may be happier just getting a fresh look.

Can’t go bigger this tank was just set up a couple months ago and where I put it I maximized the space. Off to Petco to buy another breeder. I just saw the 50% off sale ended last week so guess I’m paying full price. Anyone know if they do price adjustments

Somewhere on the bottom corner it must’ve been leaking because the water was ticking out right above the plastic trim

Frustrating yes but no way I put a lot of time into this tank. I’m addicted to this. Luckily I had the 32 gal. AIO up and running which saved all of my corals and snails from death
