Will dipping that coral get rid of it? Reallllllly don't want to start off my new tank with that crud.
Best way is to scrape it off outside of the tank and put a glob of superglue gel over its place to prevent it from coming back.

Aiptasia eating filefish.... it won't get rid of it but it will make it so you don't notice or get mad. At least ours did in the last tank.

Crabs nailed it. I wouldn't scrape it though, there's a chance little bits are left on the rock. I would just pull out the frag and super glue the whole Aptasia. Pay attention to where the Aptasia is as you pull it out of the sand. They are often attached a distance from where their tentacles are, and they can be hard to spot after you pull them out of the water...

Yep, liquid superglue. Take the frag out of the water so the aiptasia retracts, then put a drop or two of liquid glue on it. The glue runs all over it, and voila. Try not to get glue on the actual coral. Also try not to glue yourself to anything.

It is but go simple instead of adding fish or shrimp which may later terrorize your zoa or other coral.
Using a syringe, mix kalkwasser powder into a thin paste and inject into center of each aptasia and they will melt away.
Me personally- Cant beat a kleini butterfly which is great looking, freiendly, eats aptasisa like cany and afterwards will eat all frozen and dry food you offer !
