Hello everybody it's broc...
been watching too much YouTube as of late because I am dang frustrated and very demotivated
So long story to short story time
I bottomed out my phosphates with GFO because I started feeding less and didn't adjust my GFO
Bum bum buuuum I have Dinos again for the second time but this time they really really tough to get rid of I've been battling for months now and they only getting worse
I've completely stopped water changes I tried manual removal I stir them up every night I run UV I'm dosing PO4 and NO3
My PO4 is at 0.05 (hannah)
NO3 5ppm (Red Sea)
I've dosed H202 I've dosed Vibrant I can't get dino x here in South Africa and I won't try it since it's very 50/50 apparently from the threads here on it
I started dosing silica to force a diatom bloom nothing is working so I guess it's just about patience now and I need to strap in for a long fight
I started dosing mixed bacteria and only running my UV at night so the bacteria can "take hold"
But anyway enough about the dino fight
With all these recent changes and my constant fiddling with the tank every day my scopas is riddled with white spots I cant tell yet if it's velvet or ich but I immediately used focus and metroplex on some mysis and fed all the fish to see if I can "catch it early"
Not going to lie after I looked at my scopas and saw him like that I felt like I'm just done with my reef tank my lights switched over to blues for the late night viewing and I just opened a beer and stared at my tank after medicating my fish and contemplated if continuing is worth it
Have you guys ever been at that point where all the issues in your tank just start adding up and up. What did you do?
Here's my tank without cladding its 1 year and 2 months old today. My first tank after moving back to South Africa from the states
