I like to have a good look at my tank when the lights go out and it’s dark for a while to see what I can spot. For me my nassarius snails emerge and cruise around, micro life is way more active on the rocks and I like to find bristleworm that have emerged.

what do you find after lights out?

I love watching the tank at night. It's a whole different place. Peppermints start cruising, nassarius snails come out, conchs come out, pistol shrimp gets adventurous. I'd love to find a flashlight in the right wave length to be able to watch better without disturbing them.

I enjoy staring at the polyp extensions from my acros at night with a flashlight and also making sure there are no pests.

I like to look for all of the hidey places my fish sleep. They all have a little bed they slide into. I'm always amazed at how small some of the places are.
Yellow belly blue tang ..
they always sleep on their side . Wedged in between the rocks .
Yellow wrasse disappears into the sand .
Mel wrasse sleeps with his head sticking out of the sand ( like he pulls the covers up to his chin .
foxface sleeps with his spotted pj’s on

the large Mexican turbo snails come out to bulldoze through everything .
The tentacles and sweepers of lps .
