When to add a mandarin goby

How do I know if my tank is ready to have a mandarin. My tank has been going for 4 months.

My tank was 6 months in, I bought 2 5280 pods, to colonize my live rock. We're at 18 months now, and I've not had to supplement pods again, they're all over my rock at night. Mandy is fat and happy as can be.

I also trained mine to eat mysis in q.t.

Copepods but how do I know I have enough. I’m pretty sure I see them in the glass as well
