I have about 3 zoas polyps making up a colony, and a yuma coral that is doing well i would like to know if it would be a good time to start looking at adding hammer coral or torch coral which i know arent very hardy but i would like to know as my corals seem to be doing well but i dont want to rush into buying anything that wont do well

I'd try the hammer first. Torches can be super finicky. This will be your first coral with a skeleton so be sure to watch your alkalinity and calcium levels closely. 1 coral isn't going to make much of an impact, but it's good practice to start paying attention to those parameters when keeping any stony corals.

To be honest I think you should be ok. If those corals are doing well, you can definitely add a hammer or torch. I do agree that a torch can be more finicky than a hammer. So if money is an issue, get a hammer first but put it in low gentle flow.

Are you ready to start testing for alkalinity? You can use water changes to manage it at first.

Start testing your alkalinity and calcium, and make sure you are comfortable with keeping your salinity stable. Other good ones to try are leathers, candy canes, frogspawns, and blastos.
