What are the effects on pH of dosing 2-part solutions. Seems like Alk would make pH rise, Calc might make pH fall. trying to minimize pH swings. Using Neptune DOS to dose B-ionic 2 part solutions.

Depends on the two part. I have published two DIY recipes. B-ionic also sells two recipes. One raises pH (my Recipe 1 and B-ionic original) and the other is a very slight pH lowering (my recipe #2 and B-ionic Bicarbonate).
The calcium and magnesium parts have no impact on pH. Only the alk part does so.
Folks dose in many different ways for different reasons. It seems most alk consumption is during the day, so folks focused on stability dose more during the day, despite that fact that the ph will rise more from it.
