Clearly the consenzus is that corals are fed late in the evning after lights are off. However I find that I get a much better response when lights are on. I feed the entire tank in the morning (fish, rbta, and lps corals) with a slurry of grated mussels, selcon, aquaforest veab, and reefroids. I let it hang for 30 min before switching on circulation and skimmer.

If your getting good results then stick with it. Keep an eye on your phosphates and nitrates and make sure they don't get out of hand over time. Roids will raise your phosphates. If you're good then keep rolling with it!

Feed when you want, there is no rules. I usually feed in the evening just before lights out. I need lights to see what I’m doing. My pumps are off for 12 minutes when I feed
