When to give up on anemone

I bought the anemone in September's on 2011 1st pic. it went down hill as you can see in 2nd pic. Then it came back and split about 3 months later. Now a year + later one of them is going down hill. It's been getting smaller and smaller sorry the last 3 weeks. The other one is fine as our all my other corals and my maxi anemone. All perimeters are normal ph 8.1 cal 390 alk 7.9. I haven't changed the lighting or anything. The clowns have eggs between the two but that's normal. Any thoughts and when to give up or any other ideas?

It's tentacles are gone, it's eating itself. Spot feed it diced clams,scallops dipped in aqua vitro fuel. It will bounce back I've done it before

It's tentacles are still there, it is just deflated. I feed my anemones ever 1 to 2 weeks. Usually just mysis shrimp but sometimes regular shrimp or clams. The sick one has not closed up when feed for over a month. I just gave it diced clams after your suggestion and it just floated away.

Odd, it's colors are still there maybe section t off from the clowns, if they're trying to host they maybe stressing it more than it likes. My clarkii beat the life out of several nems.. Good luck

That was my thought a few days ago, move it to a different spot and see if helps. The only reason I haven't yet is I know they will move around if they want. I guess I'll have to try that next once recent clown eggs are gone. The clowns hurt when the thump you.

Try the Tupperware trick... Poke a million holes in it and place it over the nem.
