Hey guys dory has been in copper for 2 weeks 2.0 ppm coppersafe. She had a few days show when I brought her home. After a week she was all cleared up. But now she has these white blotches. Thinking it’s bacterial or like dr jay said a reaction to the copper. She isn’t flashing. Thankfully. Prazipro won’t be here for a short while. (Covid) should I keep copper in for the full 30 days? Or lay off the copper and see if that helps her blemishes ?? Thanks

Here’s her passenger side. What’s weird is. A few days ago this was cleared right up and than a day or two later is see more. Than it goes away. Her diet. Nori all she can eat. Vitalis pellets. She loves these and omega 1 flakes with garlic. Also frozen brine and mysis. No expense spared to feed these guy. Water. Cycled qt. No ammonia or nitrite. Nitrate. Last time I checked was zero. Salinity 1.022. Ph 8.0. Temp a tad warm 80f

My blue just went through this same thing. What I was told is copper is an immunoo-suppressant, and makes fish more susceptible to bacterial infection. He hid a lot during this time but kept eating well so I didn’t panic.

He got this even during a couple doses of metro. It started to clear up around a week later. He finished copper, I transferred him out and he has been great since.

Blue tangs especially tend to get this.

30 days... FWIW, I believe having rock in QT is a bad idea.

I don’t care about the rock and I check daily for copper levels and I see no I’ll wffects. Only thing i see is happy fish that love being in there habitats

What’s funny is my fish seem to love the pvc pipe so much I feel guilty putting them in the display.

30 days if there was an active infection. I will *sometimes* go two weeks if the fish was pre-quarantined and showed no sign of infection.
