Hi! I have a Ricordea coral that I bought recently. When should I expect it to to split? And what should I do to prepare, is there anything I need to be careful for?

Ricordea are slow growers. Are you willing to try cutting? It's actually pretty easy. I had a mushroom attached to two different rocks and didn't realize it. Ripped it in half when I moved the rock and both halves survived. Super hardy.

Mine split every two months about all from the original piece i currently have 8 not including the original took about a year for the first split it moved off the frag rock on its own found a happy place where I really didn’t want it to be and the rest is history I target feed reef roids and fuel mixed once a week

the larger on in this picis the original the lower green blob is a fresh split from last week the one behind it split end of Jan:

I've had a mushroom coral that took about 9 months to split. I started dosing kalk... and it split within a few days... Just maintain your parameters and it will split.
