Hey guys, I currently have a 13.5 gal fluval evo nano reef tank. Everything has been going amazing but I as everyone in this hobby knows.... 13.5 gallons is not enough LOL. I am interested in a 65 gal tank with maybe a built in overflow (I hate the look of things hanging off the tank all over the place, been there before already). I live in Michigan and there is only 1 (YES, only one...insane right?) local store to go to for saltwater materials and they have tanks sizes up to 40 gallons and then it jumps to 100gal. I can't have one that big so I was wondering if their is a website that you might suggest to buy a tank and stand that works with it and is COST FRIENDLY. keep in mind that if the tank has a built in overflow I need a hallow top on the stand. I was planning on purchasing a canister filter for the new tank because my budget is not big and it still gets the job done. Also, in a 65 gal tank, how many fish do you think I can have if keeping up with water changes very frequently?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Some Petcos will have 60g tanks or can order for you. Probably the cheapest option but likely won’t be drilled and the sump etc will be extra.

As for the number of fish it would depend what kind of fish you want to get. Do you have a wish list? 60g could host a clown harem but not that many angels for example etc.

I have a waterbox marine 60.2 that is brand new would you be intrested in buying?

From what I've seen, most online retailers have shipping built into the price of tanks. You can try Bulk Reef Supply or Marine Depot. Bigger names that come to mind with overflow/sump options are Red Sea and Innovative Marine's INT/EXT line. Really depends on your budget and whether you're looking for a plug-and-play system or more DIY approach. I believe the Red Sea Reefer 250 is around 60 gallons (55 display + sump volume)

I would like to can some cool exotic and colorful fish like triggers and tangs

Ok, for the size you are saying, Marine Depot, and I recommend the Red Sea E-260, and you would have to get the sump upgrade kit from Saltwater Aquarium. The main tank is 69 gallons 3 feet long. I have one and love it.
