I figure I've got enough gas for the generator to last through Monday. What's the closest place to Huntsville that has gas?

We have gas here in Starkville its about a five hour commute...I used to make it every weekend when I was doing an internship at miltec...I'm sure there are closer places. Can you believe on the coast after Katrina there was a BP charging over $8 a gallon down the street from my moms house!!

I heard that it was gonna take about four days to get the power on up there, what have you heard. Good luck on the gas hunt.

I know most of decatur is up and running. So is Priceville. There are 3 or 4 stations off the 334 mile marker exit of I65 that have plenty of gas

What about Gasoline Alley across the Whitesburg Bridge. I heard the Wavaho at hwy 36 in Lacey's Springs might have some.

I heard that gasoline alley was up and running yesterday. Haven't heard about today. We have gas here in Athens but the lines were long yesterday. Haven't been out today.

I have seen gas in many places in huntsville the past 2 days. seems like the list of places grows each day. I know for sure there are 2 gas stations on winchester at the moores mill intersection with gas. Lines aren't terribly bad given the circumstances. I was at Sam's club off university today and they had in 7kw honda generators for $1k and lots of 5 gallon gas cans for about $10 if anyone is looking for a generator be at Sam's at 10am sunday morning when they open as im sure there selling out fast.

Marcel called me and told me Fuel City on Whitesburg near the Post Office has gas. I just went up there and they are cash only $40 limit. $3.89/gallon. A tanker was unloading when I was there. The guy inside told me they rented a mega- kilowatt (I forget the number he told me) generator from Atlanta for $4k to run the store.

Power back on @ 12:48 am! :beauty:

Bite me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL we have plenty of gas stations around here running but we lose power alot.It is projected to have power back maybe this weekend or early next week.I know I am going broke buying gas for the generator.FEMA told us yesterday if our homeowners does not cover it they will help cover it.This is of course well after we have to buy it.Just very thankful to have the generator and only miniumal losses and the ability to stay going. :)
