Looking for this type of wall cord to buy for my nuvo protein skimmer. Anyone know what it's called or have a link to where I can buy it?
You can pick these up readily online. However, I highly recommend matching the specs of the original power supply as there are many variations in supplies of this nature.

AC adapter power supply should do the trick. As previously mentioned, make sure to match the manufacturer's specs from the original supply.
Finding it seems more tedious then that unfortunately.
Just typing those terms gives lots of male ac power supplies.
I typed "ac adapter female power supply protein skimmer 12v 5 w" I got closer but none are the female ac power supply adapter I'm looking for except maybe this one? Getting close to just emailing IM about this.

Yup, I feel your frustration. Looking for electronics can become a nightmare. Even if you source something to spec, it pays to make sure it's of good quality.
I would contact IM and see if they can give you the specs, point you in the right direction or, better yet, sell you one that you know will work.
Is that the actual power supply? are the specs 12v 2.0A with a female 5.5mm x 2.1mm socket?
I'm contemplating buying it to see if the specs are the ones that the protein skimmer requires. I honestly do not know. I'm going to email IM asking for details of the power supply but I don't have high hopes that they'll respond to it.
The only power supply I'm sure is compatible with the Nuvo desktop skimmer is in the opening post. I have no specs on that power supply.
Here's the info I have about the protein skimmer. Pulled it from a YT video comparing this protein skimmer to the ghost.

Why not start a second thread asking for specs on the power supply from someone else who has the same skimmer? Or edit the title of this one so that other owners know that you're looking for some help. I doubt you're the only one with that skimmer, there should be someone else who can help you out.
Be sure to provide a link to the power supply for people who have this issue in the future and stumble across this thread.
