Where Can I Get An Emerald Crab That Will Eat Bubble Algae?

You want Pitho crab for bubble algae. Way better then emeralds.

Like any cleanup crew they are opportunists eaters. If you continue to supply them food they will eat that instead of searching for the bubble, algae

Pithos are better.

I'm kinda blown away how effective they are cause they didn't seem like it until few days later you look and notice it all gone.

They're far more trust worthy than emeralds anyways. Emeralds are still opportunistic and will eat whatever fits in their claws, pithos have really small claws (which is good if you got bubble inbetween polyps).

I agree with this. Went through a bunch of emerald crabs and they did nothing. Got some pitho crabs and they chowed down on the bubble algae. From my experience, spend your money on pitho crabs.

My LFS had them in stock but various online vendors sell them commonly.

Female emeralds seem to be better in my experience/less likely to eat your corals (just my anecdotal experience and my amateur crab gender guessing). That said, their effectiveness as algae eaters seems to vary depending on the specimen. . . though it appears from what others are saying that reef breeders has some hardcore algae eating variety haha!
