Just wanted to say that I do not ever recommend this store. Been here in person, all fish are kept on the same system, and it is very very dirty and fish are diseased and unhealthy. That Pet Place - thatpetplace.com is their site. They say they carry either that exact species or another species of the same genus.
I'd message all the fish stores online that you can find and send them the common name, latin name, and picture to see if they can get one in for you.
Pico Gobies can be anything from 1 inch or less just to clear that up from any confusion.Tiny fish, like pico gobies, are probably at risk from a full-grown waspfish. The clownfish will be fine, though.
It was clear for me.Yeah, that wasn't very clear, was it? "Pico goby" refers to the various gobies that do well in pico tanks. Trimma gobies, eviota gobies, and so on. They're generally not much over an inch long, so a lot of things can eat them.
Paracentropogon rubripinnis
Dang, of course the fish i like is the rarest fish on earth. Thanks for your help though, might as well keep trying even if it takes me 5 years to get one.You will never find that fish, you will be lucky if you find a P. zonatus. You may be right about your pic being a P. rubripinnis, but I have never seen one offered, ever, Doing a quick search I found one guy post a pic of that fish ina bag almost 10 years ago. The similarities of those 2 fish are so close, even to the size; but the P. zonatus is much more colorful.

$100.00 a piece I think the price reflected how much I bugged them to order them. How much did you pay for them
Dang 3 grand, I expected to pay at max a 500 bucks for a pair especially if i imported them from japan .There are many reasons you may not see some fish in captivity, alot of times it's because they don't survive long, being disease prone or difficult to feed. These fish will have initial feeding difficulties, but it's easy to address. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if those 2 fish aren't the same fish, they are so similar other than the red fins. To find 2 different species with everything the same except some minor color differences, it could be a regional thing.
Oh this why you will never see a P. rubripinnis; their distribution is the Northwest Pacific: southern Japan and southern Korean Peninsula. If you were to find one, expect to pay about $3000, basically for the same fish as a P. zonatus
Do you know if the place you got them from ships?$100.00 a piece I think the price reflected how much I bugged them to order them.
I was going to see if they could order one for me online if I paid extra because i dont live in FloridaThese were special order in the store I had to pay a deposit. WWC list fish on their site but in the year since I have gotten the 2 I have not seen one on there site or in their 2 stores. I literally go there 2 times a week.
Yeah not trying to be rude but it took me bugging them 2 times a week for 10 months to get them to order them, and I buy a lot of stuff from them. Not gonna happen my friend.I was going to see if they could order one for me if I paid extra
Ill still try even if theres a 90% chance it wont happen.Yeah not trying to be rude but it took me bugging them 2 times a week for 10 months to get them to order them, and I buy a lot of stuff from them. Not gonna happen my friend.
